AR Mobile App for National Day Parade

AR Mobile App for National Day Parade
ROLE
I was the UI designer for this project in a team that was made up of 6 developers and 2 project managers.
OBJECTIVE
The organizing committee of NDP 2018 approached us a few months before NDP. They wanted to drive up the hype in the days leading to the parade, and also to take this opportunity to let the younger generation learn about Singapore’s history and heritage.
Startup and onboarding screens.
The player needs to travel around Singapore looking for landmarks and solve quests.
Below screen shows the Player’s profile page. Players can redeem rewards from sponsors which the organising committee has tied up with.
The app also features several Augmented Reality-based mini games.
CONSTRAINTS
We had 2 months to deliver the app. Most of the information were not available till the final month.
CONCLUSION
The app was uploaded to the Apple and Android app stores a few weeks before NDP, and stayed there for a couple of months after.
