Administrators who manages the game on the backend
ROLE
I was the UI designer for this project in a team that was made up of 3 developers, 3 3D Artists and 1 project manager.
PROBLEM
Sengkang General Hospital wanted a safe and efficient way to train and familiarize their wheelchair users with the use of electric wheelchairs. The objective is to immerse these patients in a hyperrealistic virtual environment that looks and feels the same as real-world Singapore locations, such as inside MRT stations and parks.
The frontend is a VR game, while the backend is a simple admin panel for the hospital administrators to manage and configure the game.
Data in screens below have been replaced with dummy data for privacy reasons.
The following 4 screens allows the hospital admin to add new patients into the game, as well as edit / view their records.
In addition, the admin can also view recorded playbacks of the patients’ game to see which area they need more training in.
The game has 2 modes and 3 difficulty levels which the admin can set.
If the admin chooses Practice mode, 3 different wheelchair maneuvers are available for the patient to practice.
If the admin chooses Assessment mode, he can set a starting and ending point in the 3D world for the patient to roam in on the wheelchair.
The game also lets the admin view and save the patients’ results for future analysis.
Below video shows the training game’s setup and gameplay.
